1430 Enclave Central Plant Renovations

T&D Engineers worked with Wells Real Estate Funds to provide construction documents for the removal of an existing ice storage tank, heat exchangers and pumps within the existing Central Plant. The design intent was to provide a more traditional primarly and secondary chilled water plant. The existing three 300 Ton York chillers remained and were set up to provide chilled water to a new primary loop. The existing heat exchangers were removed from the project and the existing secondary loop is feed from the newly designed primary loop. New controls and control valves were installed and are controlled by the building’s Energy Management System. The Central Plant is remotely attached to the complex’s parking garage. The Central Plant serves the adjacent 6-story office building. T&D Engineers assisted the owner with cost estimates and budgeting for the project. Construction of the project is expected to take place from December of 2008 thru February of 2009.
